Snowflake challenge Day 6 : In your own space, rec at least 3 fanworks you thought you wouldn't like (because they weren't your fandom or they pushed against your boundaries or you thought you just wouldn't be interested) and that you ended up loving.
It's Not About Pasta by
Nemo_the_Everbeing. Sherlock. Sherlock/Lestrade
I would never have read this if
Calico hadn't bookmarked it, honestly. Mostly because it seemed like it was going in the "John goes on a date and Sherlock is jealous so he sleeps with Lestrade" direction. But holy cow, am I ever glad not to have missed this.
Easy There by
syllic. Merlin. Arthur/Merlin
podfic by
revolutionaryjo
I'd stopped reading Merlin by the time
revolutionaryjo posted her podfic of this story. I loved it so much though, it went right to the top of my most-listened-to-podfics list.
Woman Inherits the Earth by
xenakis. Jurassic Park. Kelly Curtis Malcolm/Lex Murphy
I've never seen Jurassic Park, but I harassed xen until she read my Yuletide fic, so it seemed like I should read hers. Everyone should read this. There's a mutant raptor called Marie-Antoinette.
